Paplitz - August 2nd to 16th
Hello. My name is Mariana Scherer and I am 22 years old. I was born and live in Brazil, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in a small countryside town. Going to Germany was a unique opportunity, since I had never been to another continent or a country so far away and different from Brazil.
The trip was perfect, and I had unique and amazing experiences. The people and friends I met during the days I spent there will stay in my heart forever. I was warmly welcomed and made lifelong friends.
I stayed in Paplitz for two weeks in August. It was summer, but unlike Brazil, it wasn’t very hot, and we were able to make the most of those two weeks, getting to know more about the local culture and the people who lived there. The most memorable parts of the trip were visiting the tourist attractions, learning more about everyday life in Germany, and spending time with kind and friendly people.
Everyone was very welcoming, and we had many wonderful moments together, such as the community festival, playing volleyball, baking pies, and helping with whatever was needed in the town. I am very grateful for the opportunity, and I will keep this trip in my heart forever.
